Kingsborough Community College & Military & Veteran Affairs Office serve the needs of prospective & enrolled active Military personnel, Veterans, and their dependents, spouses and survivors. The KCC & MAVA mission is to facilitate a smooth transition and reintegration into the college community through developing a strong support system for students and Vet-friendly services by designating a Point of Contact in support offices and establishing the Veteran's Lounge. We provide recruitment & retention efforts, various counseling & advisement services, assistance with registration & withdrawals, financial aid, certify eligible students to receive DVA education benefits, and maintain relations with the Veteran Administration & agencies serving Veterans.

Military Veterans

Kingsborough Community College & MAVA Office together provide endless support within and between offices. Our staff members are trained professionals who ensure student Veterans receive the support & assistance necessary for successful completion of their academic program. Our college creates and promotes events & services such as priority registration & advisement, assistance in registration & withdrawal, career & internship counseling, housing & financial advisement, transfer out, and mental health and personal counseling. In addition to events, we have tabling opportunities promoting outside organizations, senior colleges, and on-campus resources. We have also secured a location equipped with seating & computers for students to study & socialize

Military Spouses

Kingsborough Community College continues to serve our Military personnel, Veterans, reservists, and dependents, spouses, and survivors providing services that encourage personal and educational growth and promote success. This college is dedicated to offering a seamless admission process with a point of contact, priority advisement and registration, and continuous support in a diverse capacity. We are committed to our student's success and continually assess our services and programming to ensure that we are always offering the most effective assistance and programming.
