Texas State University assists veterans in pursuing their educational, professional, and vocational goals. Our program reflects a coordinated continuum of services based on needs assessments of student vets and a strategic plan developed by a Veterans Advisory Council and student veteran leadership for academic, social, leadership, and career services. Our Veterans affairs Office provides certification of educational benefits following VA regulations and monitors student’s degree plans and academic progress. We have an active veteran’s student organization of more than 600 that organizes outreach events. Case management interns assess veteran and family needs and link to on campus and community resources.
