Military Veterans

Our campus is wholeheartedly committed to supporting veteran and military-connected students throughout their journey at UW-Eau Claire. We offer specialized training for faculty and staff on the unique challenges student veterans may face during their transition to college, regularly survey student veterans and their families to better understand their needs and have established a steering committee composed of student veterans, faculty, and staff to advise campus leadership. Additionally, we connect student veterans with internal and external counseling resources and provide a dedicated on-campus space where they can meet peers, access assistance with benefits and enrollment, and connect to valuable resources.

Military Spouses

We are deeply committed to supporting all military-connected students throughout their time at UW-Eau Claire. Our efforts include providing specialized training for campus faculty and staff on challenges military-connected students may encounter during their transition to college, regularly surveying student veterans and their families to understand their needs and have a recognized student organization open to all military-connected students—not just veterans. Additionally, we connect students with internal and external counseling resources, and offer a dedicated on-campus space where military-connected students can meet peers, access assistance with benefits and enrollment, and find connections to valuable resources
