Wilkes University is a private, nonprofit institution serving over 2,000 undergraduate and 3,000 graduate students online and on-campus in Wilkes-Barre, PA. We offer bachelor's and master’s degrees in fields that include engineering, business, nursing, education, humanities and the sciences. Our veterans counselor is a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel who understands your needs and takes a personal interest in your well being. A Veterans Center for Excellence opened in 2016 to consolidate services and offer a gathering place. A VA Medical Center is just minutes away. Wilkes University is located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., a small, affordable city. Wilkes offers several programs online.

Military Spouses

Wilkes University offers military spouses and dependents an education experience designed to help them achieve their goals. Our array of majors, minors and extracurricular activities allows students to tailor their education to their interests. Popular majors include pharmacy, engineering, nursing, biology and psychology. Expect personal attention and hands-on learning in a close-knit community. Our veterans counselor understands the needs of military families. The main campus is located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., which has an affordable cost of living and is close to Pocono Mountains ski areas, shopping and outdoor recreation. Philadelphia and New York City are within a couple hours' drive.
