Veteran Student Stats

Military Veterans

UMass Global was founded to provide outreach education to Marines stationed at El Toro Air Station in 1958. Our active duty and veteran military students have always been a key part of our educational mission. We have a department focused solely on military needs, such as certification and transfer credits for military members. Military students are awarded 6 credits for their service and may be able to transfer in additional credits based on prior training or military occupation. Plus, our One-Stop Specialists are trained to help our military members, dependents, and spouses navigate financing options.

Military Spouses

Our military commitment extends to all military members, including spouses and dependents. In addition to offering scholarships and tuition discounts, we are partners in the Yellow Ribbon Program, the GI Bill, and other programs to ensure spouses and dependents can maximize their benefits. Our Virtual Veterans and Military Center has resources specifically designed for our military community, and our support staff is populated with retired military members who understand the needs of our military students and their families.
