Veteran Student Stats

Military Veterans

Clemson University’s proud tradition of military excellence dates to its founding as a military school for cadets seeking the highest academic excellence. Today, Clemson is committed to supporting servicemembers and veterans from application to graduation and beyond via a wide range of support networks, including those within Admissions, Military & Veteran Engagement, VA Educational Benefits Office, Clemson Corps, and the Clemson Student Veterans Association. Numerous resources, policies, and programs are in place to foster a campus culture that is welcoming and inclusive to military students. Military service is valued at Clemson; patriotism is one of our university's core values.

Military Spouses

Clemson University is intentional in supporting military spouses and dependents, who currently comprise 80 percent of our military-connected student population. Our admissions application includes military identity questions, allowing Clemson to connect family members with tailored guidance from Military & Veteran Engagement and the VA Educational Benefits Office as soon as they apply. These offices help students understand and utilize VA education benefits, access resources specifically for them, and navigate campus life. With dedicated staff and a proud military heritage, Clemson ensures military spouses and dependents receive the focused support they need to thrive academically and personally throughout their Clemson experience.
