Ozarks Technical Community College

Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) was founded April 3, 1990 when Springfield, Missouri residents voted to establish a “community technical college.” Having served more than 160,000 students over our first 25 years, we currently support approximately 13,000 students at six campuses, with daytime, evening, weekend and online courses. OTC’s core values include quality, opportunity, accessibility, learning, diversity, innovation, community, respect, integrity and personal growth. Our mission is to promote student learning through accessible, high-quality, affordable workforce training, and technical and general education that is responsive to the educational needs of the community and its diverse constituencies.

Why you should attend?

With approximately 500 military veterans and dependents enjoying their education benefits each semester, OTC is no stranger to the military. In fact, many of our faculty and staff are veterans. Our student veterans and their dependents have access to a Veteran Center on campus, as well as numerous veteran support organizations in Springfield and the surrounding area. In addition, veterans that are considering beginning a college degree or technical program but need preparatory support can receive free tutoring and advising through our federally funded Veterans Upward Bound grant program. Finally, our Student Veteran Organization serves a very important role both on campus and in the community.
