Ozarks Technical Community College

Ozarks Technical Community College (est. 1990) launched when residents of Springfield and its surrounding public school districts voted to establish a “community technical college” to serve the education and training needs of southwest Missouri. Over the past 30+ years, OTC has served over 240,000 students and graduated over 33,000. OTC implements continued innovations to meet its core values of quality, community, opportunity, innovation, accessibility, integrity, and personal growth. OTC upholds its mission to promote student learning though affordable workforce training as well as technical and general education which responds to the needs of the community and its diverse constituents.

Why you should attend?

Veteran and military students are valued members of the OTC community. The Veterans and Military Services Office provides direct customer service to student veterans, active servicemembers, dependents, and military family members. In addition, the federally funded TRIO program Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) is accessible on OTC’s Springfield campus and provides admissions counseling services to veterans seeking higher education. Our Student Veterans Organization (SVO) provides peer support, and OTC provides a Student Veterans Center for student engagement and support. Our focus on job-skill training and college transfer preparation makes OTC an excellent choice for veterans seeking quality and affordable higher education.
