Northwest Missouri State University

Northwest Missouri State University was established in 1905 and is a state-assisted, four-year regional university offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs to approximately 7,000 students. With an intimate campus and student teacher ratio of 20 to 1, the University focuses on “student success – every student, every day,” which has helped place Northwest’s graduation rate in the 89th percentile of its national peer group with career placement rates of over 96 percent. Northwest provides full-time students with textbooks a laptop and offers profession-based experiences, more than 150 student organizations, and around 1,200 student employment opportunities.

Why you should attend?

Northwest Missouri State University is approved for certification of students eligible to receive educational assistance from the Department of Veterans Affair. The School Certifying Official will assist military service members and veterans in meeting the requirements for financial assistance and other benefits. Northwest has high graduation and career placement rates and offers more than 200 rigorous academic programs, small class sizes, and opportunities for student employment and profession-based learning experiences. Many resources, including the Student Success Center, Writing Center, Math Lab, career services, and faculty advisors, are available to help students be successful throughout their time at Northwest and after.
