Northeast Iowa Community College

NICC was formed as Area 1 Vocational-Technical School in 1966. In 1979 the name of was changed to Northeast Iowa Technical Institute. In 1988 formal approval of community college status was given and the name was changed to Northeast Iowa Community College. NICC has centers and service locations in six communities. In 2011 the Aspen Institute of Community College Excellence program named NICC to the top ten community colleges in the nation for the College’s successful graduate outcomes, academic excellence and community impact. MISSION STATEMENT: NICC provides in-demand education and training focused on improving lives, driving business success and advancing community vitality. VISION STATEMENT: NICC will be the premier source for in-demand education, workforce training and partnerships, through innovative thinking and talent development.

A program that prepares individuals to practice the profession of accounting and to perform related business functions.
