Why you should attend?

NSU is dedicated to serving our military community to ensure that are service members and veterans are given the most accurate and up to date information. NSU focuses on degree, not just course completion. There is no-on campus residency requirement. A personalized degree plan is completed quickly, complimentary transcript evaluation for active duty and veterans. There is maximum credit awarded for military training and prior college-level knowledge. In addition, NSU accepts CLEP and DANTES (DSST) exams towards specified majors. NSU offers flexibility of earning credits through in-seat, online, weekend, or hybrid courses. Our tuition is $250/credit hour for active duty personnel and active duty/veterans are eligible to receive the in-state rate which applies to all degree programs. NSU certifies students who qualify for various veteran and program benefits. Moreover, other military scholarships, grants, and loans are also applicable to receive. Furthermore, NSU accepts credits from NCPACE regionally accredited colleges and institutions, is a part of ConAP, familiar with numerous officer programs for various branches of the military, has ROTC programs, and recognizes ACE credits from the JST along with CCAF credits. NSU is a partner with the National Veterans Leadership Foundation (NVLF) and has a Veterans Club that all military-affiliated can participate/contribute in the activities of the organization. There are numerous outreach/advocacy, partnerships, support systems, and resources accessible for the active duty and veteran populations. The Military-Affiliated Community have access to a full-time on base representative of whom conducts outreach to various military installations in the Virginia region and represents active duty and veterans throughout the world.
