Kingsborough Community College

Kingsborough Community College & Military & Veteran Affairs Office serve the needs of prospective & enrolled active Military personnel, Veterans, and their dependents, spouses and survivors. The KCC & MAVA mission is to facilitate a smooth transition and reintegration into the college community through developing a strong support system for students and Vet-friendly services by designating a Point of Contact in support offices and establishing the Veteran’s Lounge. We provide recruitment & retention efforts, various counseling & advisement services, assistance with registration & withdrawals, financial aid, certify eligible students to receive DVA education benefits, and maintain relations with the Veteran Administration & agencies serving veterans.

: Kingsborough Community College & MAVA Office together provide endless support within and between offices. Our staff are trained professionals who ensure student Veterans receive the support & assistance necessary for successful completion of their academic program. Our college creates and promotes events & services such as priority registration & advisement, assistance in registration & withdrawal, career & internship counseling, housing, financial advisement, transfer out, and mental health and personal counseling. In addition to events, we have tabling opportunities promoting outside organizations, senior colleges, and on-campus resources. We have also secured a location equipped with seating & computers for students to study & socialize
