Green River College

Green River College welcomes our diverse local and global communities and is committed to meeting students where they are by providing inclusive, equitable access to innovative and comprehensive educational programs, and individualized support that empowers and prepares students to achieve their personal, educational, and career goals. Green River College is a public Washington State college founded in 1965. GRC enrolls approximately 19,000 students each year. About 500 students receive Veterans Administration benefits earned by the military service. There is an undetermined amount of students that have not registered for VA benefits, but have served in the military or are the immediate relative of a Veteran. GRC services the southeast King County area as designated by the Washington State legislature. Over 50% of GRC’s student Veterans commute from elsewhere in King County or adjacent counties. Those counties are home to almost three million people, and approximately 1 in 10 those are Veterans.
