East Tennessee State University

East Tennessee State University encompasses 11 colleges utilizing 4 campuses, several satellite facilities, and a robust online presence. In the heart of Appalachia, ETSU’s main campus sits on 340 acres in the shadow of the Buffalo and Cherokee Mountains. It boasts the highest quality academic and athletic facilities, to include an extraordinary library, state-of-the-art residence halls, and an observatory. The 11 colleges cover a wide variety of subjects ranging from the humanities to math, technology to art, education to health science. These colleges’ departments offer over 140 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree programs, as well as study abroad experiences.

Why you should attend?

ETSU has a long history of supporting America's veterans and their families. More than 850 students are either using a GI Bill (R) or are provided Military Affiliated Student benefits. Our campus offers over 240 student organizations to choose from, including a local chapter of the Student Veterans of America and has an active chapter of the SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society. Our Military Affiliated Student Resource Center (MARC) serves as a quiet space for studying or escaping the buzz of campus life, a great place to interact with fellow Vets, study, or watch TV. Nearby, the Quillen VA Medical Center provides convenient, high-quality medical attention. Work-Study positions are available at the VA Hospital, Mountain Home National Cemetery, and the ETSU Veterans Affairs office.
