East Tennessee State University encompasses 11 colleges utilizing 4 campuses, several satellite facilities, and a robust online presence. In the heart of Appalachia, ETSU’s main campus sits on 340 acres in the shadow of the Buffalo and Cherokee Mountains. It boasts the highest quality academic and athletic facilities, an extraordinary library, state-of-the-art residence halls, an observatory, and an outdoor amphitheater. The 11 colleges cover a wide variety of subjects ranging from the humanities to math, technology to art, education to health science. These colleges’ departments offer over 140 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree programs, as well as study abroad experiences.

Why you should attend?

ETSU has a long history of supporting America's veterans and their families. More than 830 students are receiving benefits and/or assistance and experiencing the support of our military-friendly community. Our campus offers over 240 student organizations from which to choose, including the ETSU Chapter of Student Veterans of America. Ranked at the Gold level as a Military Friendly School and ranked Best of the Best by Veterans Magazine for 2018, ETSU believes in serving those who served. Our Military Affiliated Student Resource Center (MARC) serves as a quiet space for studying or escaping the buzz of campus life. Nearby, the Quillen VA Medical Center provides convenient, high-quality medical attention. Work-Study positions are available for those students using a GI Bill (R).
