College of the Mainland (COM) is an excellent choice for military members, their spouses and dependents pursuing their educational goals. COM provides an environment that encourages active learning by recognizing the leadership qualities brought to the educational process from a veteran, as well as understanding the social, psychological, and financial needs unique to those who have served. COM provides dedicated services to the veteran population.College credit may be granted for educational experiences completed while in the US Armed Forces. Acceptable transfer credit courses will be recommended by the Registrar and approved by the appropriate program area and the Vice President for Instruction. The limits of transfer credit are specified under each degree and diploma listed in the College Catalog. Various workshops and events are available.
