College of Southern Maryland

The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) is a public, regional two-year community college, which helps our students and community meet the challenges of individual, social, and global changes. CSM is progressive, and technologically advanced to deliver quality higher education programs and services in a wide variety of academic opportunities and instructional methods to meet our students’ very busy schedules. Courses are offered online, during the weekend, accelerated, and web-hybrid courses. CSM is considered a leader among Maryland community colleges and also offers work force development training.

Why you should attend?

CSM is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC). This enables veterans, service members, and qualified dependents to receive VA educational benefits. CSM allows veteran students register ahead of the normal population (Priority Registration). Offers a veterans lounge and also an organized veterans club organization to enhance and advocate for veterans on campus and within the community. CSM offers VA approved credit and non-credit certificates, associate degrees, and workforce development programs.
