Abilene Christian University is a private, comprehensive university for the education of Christ-centered, global leaders. Affiliated with Churches of Christ, founded in 1906 in Abilene, Texas. ACU educates over 6,000 students annually from 50 states/territories and 46 nations. It includes the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Biblical Studies, Business Administration, Education and Human Services, Graduate and Professional Studies, and Honors; the Graduate School of Theology; and the Schools of Information Technology and Computing, Nursing, and Social Work. Abilene Christian University is a 20-minute drive from Dyess Air Force Base and a Yellow Ribbon School with an established record of welcoming and serving members of the military and their dependents. Its academic offerings, 79 baccalaureate majors in more than 164 areas of study, 35 master's degree programs, and four doctoral programs are available to all students who qualify through several VA Education Bene ts Programs. ACU has a discounted rate for active-duty military stations at Dyess who seek an undergraduate degree. ACU evaluates military training and follows American Council on Education guidelines on its degree programs and transfer student policy.
