The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Dickson (TCAT Dickson) is one of 41 technical colleges across the state serving the citizens of Tennessee. The College is a public, post-secondary institution providing full-time and part-time programs awarding diplomas and certificates. TCAT Dickson offers 15 full-time programs of study. The training offered by TCAT Dickson is primarily competency-based instruction. TCAT Dickson has a 54 year history of providing quality education and to fulfill its mission of Tennessee workforce development to the communities served.

Tennessee College of Applied Technology is an excellent choice for military members because we have a large veteran student population especially at our Clarksville Campus location. The college offers training in 15 technical fields that prepare veterans for high skill, high demand, and high wage jobs. Financial aid officer and team members are trained well to serve the financial aid needs of veterans as are Student Services staff in meeting other needs of veterans. The college has representatives on the Tennessee Veteran Education Academy.

Dental Laboratory Technology/Technician

A program that prepares individuals, under the supervision of dentists, to design and construct dental prostheses such as caps, crowns, bridges, dentures, splints, and orthodontic appliances. Includes instruction in dental anatomy, dental materials, ceramics technology, impressions, complete dentures, partial dentures, orthodontics, crowns and bridges, sculpture, bonding and assembly techniques, and equipment operation.

A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain diesel engines in vehicles such as automobiles, buses, ships, trucks, railroad locomotives, and construction equipment; as well as stationary diesel engines in electrical generators and related equipment.
