About Mitchell Technical Institute

Mitchell Technical Institute, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is a two-year public technical college. More than 30 programs in seven division are offered: Agriculture, Business, Construction, Energy, Engineering, Health and Online. The school has been named one of 10 finalists for the 2019 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation's signature recognition of high achievement and performance in America's community colleges. On campus programs are delivered in state-of-the-art classrooms and labs; the campus is completely new since 2003. Nearly 1,300 students enroll annually. Centrally located in Mitchell, South Dakota, the campus is easily accessible on Interstate 90 and offers an excellent outdoor lifestyle.
